Social Media Monitoring Tools

Managing one’s social media presence has been a tiring task nowadays because of the increase in traffic, demand and changes in the way things work. But it is still a given fact that social media monitoring is on everyone’s top priority list.
We all know that monitoring one’s social media presence and reputation is a 24/7 task. Hence, it would be a little tiring if it would be done without the help of some essential monitoring tools.
So, getting the right tools for this task greatly affects the success of your monitoring tasks.
Google Alerts

Everyone knows about Google Alerts and its benefits. It allows users to receive alerts from this tool when a certain keyword or subject matter has been detected in a blog entry. This helps a lot when it comes to monitoring how your company, brand or name is used or what are people’s comments and thought with regards your niche or name.
Social Mention

This monitoring tool is a search engine built to search in various social media platforms which includes, social networks, blogs, comments, bookmarks, videos and many more. Among the hundreds of social media monitoring tools in the internet, Social Mention focuses on the monitoring of a certain name, brand or company’s mentions in social media. It can also provide graphic charts and illustrations for the results and data gathered.
HootSuite

HootSuite is simply a website that allows users to connect to various social networking accounts in a single website. It is more like an online dashboard where people can update and make statuses for various social networking websites.
It is a free tool that many organizations are taking advantage of.  It works greatly with Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and WordPress.
Comment Sniper

If getting the first comment in a blog post is your ting, then Comment Sniper should be on your list. This tool allows you to comment on blog posts relevant to your niche by sending you notifications on your desktop.
All you need to do is to set up the blogs or websites that you want to monitor, and then this social media monitoring tool will do the rest. It pays to be the first one to comment on fresh blog posts, indeed.
Twazzup

This tool is particularly made to monitor your brand, company or name’s mentions in Twitter. This works like Social Mention but more focused on the Twitter platform. If you are a Twitter-addict, then you should check this out.
Google Trends

Want to know how a campaign or a blogging effort affects your brand or company? Then, Google Trends should belong in your list. It simply allows you to know how often a certain keyword, phrase or topics are searched in a certain period. It also allows you to compare different phrases, topics or keywords with regards to geographic locations and many other aspects.
It pays a lot when you use appropriate social media monitoring tools for your brand, company or website. It is important to know which tools will work greatly to you, though.

Online Tools for Website Speed Testing

Building a great website these days does not only need a flashy website design or an owner with most deadly smile but also needs to be fast. And what I mean by fast is, literally, fast loading. It does not matter even if you are posting photos of the core of the earth or an article stating the cure for cancer. If your website takes forever to load, you won’t get more people viewing your website.
So it is important to know how your website is doing in terms of speed and loading. Well, you know well where this is leading us. Here are some of the tools I find very useful in checking how fast your website is.
FreeSpeedTest
-This is a speed testing tool that I really adore over the others. The interface is pretty simple and easy to use. In fact, users will be able to check the speeds of their websites in different parts of the world through the use of various data centers all over the world.
Octagate SiteTimer
– This tool shows how fast a website is and shows a bar graph of the objects that affects the speed of a website. If you want to check out what’s slowing your website down, then use this tool right away.
BrowserMob
– This tool analyzes the overall performance of a particular website which includes average loading time, page weight, number of objects in page and many more.
WebSiteOptimization
– This website works just like BrowserMob, by checking the overall performance and other factors such as total object sizes, loading times and speed reports. But the good thing about this tool is that it provides analysis and recommendations for better web page performance.
Show Slow
– This tool requires registration on your part. But in terms of the capabilities of testing website speed, it does seem to provide quite the aid for web developers. It is still a good tool to try out.
Web-Inspect
-  This website is quite simple. Enter the URL and in a matter of seconds, the time it took to load the website will be shown along with the average loading speed.
Which Loads Faster
– This is a tool that compares the speeds of two chosen websites. This could compare your website to another. Or perhaps compare a web design to another, for choosing the faster one.
SlowCop
- This works just like the other tools mentioned about. What’s unique about this is it rates your website from 0 to 100. Website comparisons can easily be done with this tool.
Loads.in - Of all the websites I have listed, Loads.in is one of the coolest when it comes to the look. But it does do great in determining your website speed too. It shows the screens of different time intervals during the website’s loading process.
Here are ten tools that you can use to monitor your website’s speed. Remember, website visitors will leave if your website is slow; even if you have the cure for cancer.
